What You Get: The
motherlode of indie rock -- 100, count 'em, 100 unreleased
songs by Robert Pollard, the prolific and influential singer-songwriter and
benevolent dictator of these Dayton, Ohio, underground legends.
What You Don't Get: A bad song in the bunch. Or a great-sounding one --
nearly all these tracks, like most GBV fare, was recorded in crappy studios
or Pollard's basement. But then, that's part of the charm.
